Incentives to Choose Electric
Codington-Clark Electric Co-op’s members can take advantage of several incentives available to those who choose the electric way. These incentives include equipment rebates, low-interest loans and special purpose rates.
If you are planning to build or remodel, show us your plans and we will help you with decisions about electric service needs, heating and cooling options and energy cost comparisons. Comparisons help determine long-term costs and paybacks. Oftentimes, the cheapest initial cost is not the best deal in the long run.
Water Heater Rebate:
- $4.00 per gallon of capacity for lifetime warranty electric water heater.
Electric Heating System Rebate:
- $400.00 rebate for heat pump installation.
- Additional rebates available for supplemental electric heat with air-source or ground-source heat pumps.
Loan Program:
- Loan funds available for purchase and installation of new electric heat pump heating systems, irrigation system auto-restart equipment or home weatherization measures.
- Interest rate of 5 percent on unpaid balance.
- Term not to exceed 60 months.
- Payments due monthly; no penalty for early repayment; balance due upon termination of membership.
Special Rates:
- May require participation in load control program
- 4.1 cents per kilowatt-hour for separately metered, residential electric heat or on-farm grain drying.
- Demand charge waived for Large Power Service with Auto-start Generator.
